The Brown Jewish Journal is an independent journal focused on Brown University’s Jewish community. We hope to provide a platform for Jewish students’ voices on topics including cultural experiences, antisemitism, and dorm-friendly Jewish recipes. We hope to foster both community and dialogue among Brown’s Jewish students.

The Brown Jewish Journal is a non-partisan publication; we hope to provide a platform for Jewish students of all backgrounds and perspectives to share their experiences and engage in dialogue with one another.

Who can submit pieces?

Students and alums of Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design can submit pieces.

Is there a length requirement?

There is no minimum or maximum length requirement.

Are pieces published as-is, or are they edited?

Our editorial team works with authors to revise pieces, focusing on sourcing and clarity. Pieces are never modified or published without author approval.
